Learn about our lab science roles
The Laboratory Sciences team brings together a diverse group of scientists and technical experts who specialize in generating the precise data needed to advance drug development. Across multiple disciplines, they design studies, develop and validate analytical methods, and interpret results that inform critical research and regulatory decisions.
Working in Laboratory Sciences means contributing to a process built on accuracy, collaboration, and scientific integrity. From sample preparation and analysis to data interpretation and reporting, every team plays a role in supporting clients as their discoveries move through development toward improving global health outcomes.

The Analytical Chemistry team analyzes dose formulations in compliance with SOPs and GxP regulations. They validate analytical methods using a variety of instruments, with a primary focus on ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC). The team ensures that test article mixtures with carriers are properly prepared, homogeneous, and stable. They also investigate formulation and chemical issues that may arise during studies, carefully documenting methods, procedures, and results in accordance with GxP standards, SOPs, and study protocols for inclusion in study reports and regulatory submissions.

The Biomarkers team develops, performs, and maintains biomarker and flow cytometry–based assays to support both internal and external studies. Working in a GLP-compliant environment, they analyze a wide range of markers – including cytokine, hormone, renal, cardiovascular, osteo, complement, metabolic, and inflammatory markers. Team members adhere to GxP standards, SOPs, and study protocols to ensure accurate documentation of methods, procedures, and results for study reports and regulatory submissions.

These teams use ligand binding assays to measure large molecule drugs and immune responses. Assays include PK, immunogenicity, bDNA, and cell-based formats, utilizing platforms such as ELISA, MSD, Luminex, Gyrolab, and others. They develop, validate, and analyze samples in accordance with GxP standards, SOPs, and study protocols, ensuring accurate documentation of methods, procedures, and results for study reports and regulatory submissions.

These teams perform bioanalytical quantitative analysis of drugs in body fluids and tissues for both regulated and non-regulated studies, including preclinical safety assessments, pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) evaluations, and clinical trials. They develop and validate LC/MS/MS methodologies, analyze samples, and interpret data using validated hardware and software systems. All work is conducted in compliance with GxP standards, SOPs, and study protocols to ensure accurate documentation of methods, procedures, and results for study reports and regulatory submissions.

Individuals on this team perform flow cytometry assays at the bench, including instrument setup, sample preparation, data acquisition, and analysis. They maintain laboratory equipment, manage inventory, and may assist in developing new assays and techniques, as well as preparing reports and presentations. All work is conducted in compliance with GxP standards, SOPs, and study protocols to ensure accurate documentation of methods, procedures, and results for study reports and regulatory submissions.

The Formulations team prepares dose formulations for a variety of compounds, including suspensions, sterile solutions, capsules, and controlled substances. They develop instructions based on study protocols and use specialized mixing equipment to achieve the desired dosing state. The team ensures that all formulations are reproducible and meet protocol specifications, investigating and troubleshooting issues to maintain quality and timelines. All work is conducted in compliance with GxP standards, SOPs, and study protocols to ensure accurate documentation of methods, procedures, and results for study reports and regulatory submissions.

This team develops and supports in vitro, molecular, and cell-based techniques and assays for cell and gene therapies. They use qPCR and/or ddPCR technologies to assess biodistribution, vector shedding, gene expression, formulation, and stability of novel therapeutics in both preclinical and clinical studies. All work is performed in compliance with GxP standards, SOPs, and study protocols to ensure accurate documentation of methods, procedures, and results for study reports and regulatory submissions.
