Job Summary
The Sr. Manager, Digital Media Channels plays a critical role in both hands-on digital media execution and team capability development, serving as a subject matter expert across multiple paid digital channels. This role drives advanced campaign execution, optimization, and analysis across paid search, paid social, and programmatic display, with deep, current platform expertise in LinkedIn, Google, and Meta.
As a senior individual contributor and mentor, the Sr. Manager works closely with the Director, Digital Media Channels to bring global paid media strategy to life while also supporting, and training manager-level team members to achieve proficiency across multiple platforms. The role requires strong analytical skills, operational rigor, and the ability to balance hands-on execution with cross-functional collaboration in a global, matrixed environment.
Strategy Support & Advanced Execution
• Partner with the Director, Digital Media Channels to execute global paid media strategies across regions, businesses, and customer segments
• Own execution/configuration and SME-level analysis of complex, high-impact digital campaigns ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery
• Serve as a hands-on expert in LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Ads, and Meta Ads Manager, GoTo Meeting and other digital media platforms applying best practices and testing new platform capabilities
• Translate business objectives into channel-level strategies and execution plans that drive funnel performance and measurable outcomes
Campaign Optimization, Analytics & Reporting
• Lead advanced optimization efforts using dashboards, pacing tools, and platform insights to continuously improve performance
• Analyze large and complex data sets across channels to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Partner with digital strategy team members to review performance, validate attribution, and provide actionable insights and recommendations
• Ensure consistent use and refinement of reporting standards, dashboards, and documentation
Team Enablement & Coaching
• Act as a player–coach, mentoring manager-level employees to build proficiency across multiple digital media platforms
• Provide hands-on training, troubleshooting support, and platform best practices to elevate team capability and consistency
• Share case studies, learnings, and optimization frameworks to improve overall team performance
• Support onboarding and skill development through documentation, SOPs, and working sessions
Collaboration & Communication
• Collaborate closely with Global Strategic Marketing’s business unit, regional, and segment marketing teams
• Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs, align on priorities, and communicate performance and insights
• Maintain tight timelines and manage multiple simultaneous projects, proactively identifying risks and dependencies
• Participate in meetings with global team members, including occasional off-hours collaboration
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
• Stay current with platform changes, emerging trends, and industry best practices
• Identify opportunities to drive efficiency through automation, standardization, and scalable solutions
• Actively contribute ideas to improve processes, workflows, and campaign effectiveness
Job Qualifications
Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital marketing, business, or a related field. MBA a plus
• 6–8+ years of experience in B2B customer-focused digital marketing with life science, biotech, or pharma experience highly preferred
• Hands-on expertise across multiple paid media channels, with deep experience in at least two (paid social, paid search, programmatic display, webinar platforms (On24, GoTo))
• Current, hands-on experience managing campaigns in LinkedIn, Google, and Meta platforms
• Experience supporting revenue-, lead-, or demand-generation programs at scale
• Experience mentoring or training team members (formal people management not required)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Expert-level understanding of digital media campaign execution, optimization, and performance measurement
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize insights from multiple data sources
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort managing campaigns at scale, including bulk uploads
• Experience with analytics and reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics)
• Experience with marketing automation platforms such as Pardot or Marketo is highly desired
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear recommendations
• Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
Compensation Data
The pay range for this position is $80K – $130K USD annually. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
