Our facility employs over 450 people across different departments in Toxicology and Laboratory Sciences. Every year, we work with over 1000 test materials and produce more than 5000 reports. Our goal is to enable the safe use of new substances through research. We pride ourselves on delivering top-quality service to our clients while maintaining our GLP certification since 1987.
The Team:
You will be leading a team of 6 project coordinators, responsible for managing the financial flow of projects from start to finish. The team handles the scope changes, timelines, and SAP data management for approximately 4000-5000 projects annually. We have a flexible, open, and informal team culture that thrives on collaboration. You will report directly to the European Manager of Project Coordination and work closely with colleagues across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise your team, ensuring smooth project coordination processes.
- Manage project creation and maintenance in SAP, ensuring SOX compliance and timely execution.
- Oversee project data output for invoicing, revenue recognition, and financial forecasting.
- Coordinate with other departments and Charles River sites to optimize processes.
- Lead regular team and department meetings and track action points to ensure follow-up.
- Provide guidance and support to project coordinators, both personally and professionally.
- Manage team resources effectively to ensure performance is optimized.
- Contribute to internal and external audits, ensuring compliance.
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching, goal setting, and performance reviews.
- Foster a positive and inspiring environment to support team growth.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 4-6 years of relevant experience, ideally in life sciences or administrative/financial roles.
- 3-5 years of experience in managing people and projects.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Dutch, with the ability to engage with all organizational levels.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills: experience with Smartsheet/SAP is a plus.
- Ability to manage large datasets, prioritize tasks, and plan effectively.
- Highly organized, structured, and able to set clear expectations and ambitious, achievable goals.
