Job Summary

 

We are seeking a Social Media Specialist for our Corporate Communications Team in our Wilmington, MA location.

 

Social Media Specialist responsibilities include but are not limited to: supporting the public relations and social media functions within Corporate Communications. Implement the corporate social media strategy, coordinating with key stakeholders across all departments to ensure its effectiveness.  Support the adoption of relevant social media techniques into the corporate culture and all of the company’s products and services. 

 

The following are minimum qualifications related to the Social Media Specialist position:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in communications, marketing, journalism/English, advertising or related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience directly-related digital communications/public relations, including experience handling multiple projects.
  • Basic web design skills and Photoshop experience a plus. Wordpress experience a plus.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

The Corporate Functions provide operational support across Charles River in areas such as Human Resources, Finance, IT, Legal, Sales, Quality Assurance, Marketing, and Corporate Development. They partner with their colleagues across the company to develop and drive strategies and to set global standards. The functions are essential to providing a bridge between strategic vision and operational readiness, to ensure ongoing functional innovation and capability improvement.
