Job Summary

As a Diversity Sourcing Specialist, you will co-develop, drive and execute on the staffing strategies that support our diversity sourcing and recruiting initiatives for early talent and technical / scientific roles. This exciting role, situated within our new Talent Attraction team - will partner closely with our diversity, equity & inclusion office, various employee resource groups, hiring managers, sourcers and recruiters to drive next level staffing practices to achieve aggressive hiring goals. 


Develop and execute strategic talent attraction programs to meet the current and projected talent needs of the organization with a keen focus on Diversity and early talent.
•    Compile & analyze data and metrics to support business decisions and plans as necessary
•    Advocate for underrepresented candidates and promote Diversity with Hiring Stakeholders.
•    Partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Team to develop a search strategy, construct target lists, and identify top-tier prospective candidates.
•    Represent Charles River Labs for Diversity recruiting purposes at networking events, career fairs, and leadership events.
•    Identify new methods of recruiting a diverse pool of candidates.
•    Partner with external organizations in order to achieve results 
•    Engage a cross functional team to assist with implementation of talent programs
•    Proactively identify and implement creative talent pipelines, including but not limited to: internet recruiting, networking, social media, career fairs, open houses, employee referral programs, high school and college recruiting, community outreach, print publications, etc.
•    Identify potential external candidates in preparation for key talent vacancies
•    Use diversity data to partner with DE&I and identify opportunities and create pipelines that serve not only immediate openings, but succession planning and long-term growth
•    Develop and maintain relationships with diversity organizations to build a robust, diverse talent pool
•    Research and propose new diversity-related partnerships and programs to assist with talent generation
•    Oversee the Charles River Labs internship program, including managing campus relations, talent attraction and onboarding programs
•    Partner with leaders to plan and forecast intern talent needs
•    Execute campus recruiting strategy, including networking events, diversity partnerships, career fair attendance, on-campus interviews and partnerships with student groups
•    Work collaboratively with Talent Acquisition Specialists and Hiring Managers on intern talent pool
•    Develop, maintain and cultivate relationships with University partners and programs
•    Evaluate program performance and implement continuous improvement opportunities
•    Analyze internship metrics and present findings to leadership

Job Qualifications

A minimum of five years progressive experience in recruiting with at least two years focusing on diversity recruiting.
•    Experience in the life sciences industry is a preferred.
•    Certified Diversity Sourcing Professional (CDSP) or similar is a plus.
•    Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or minimum of seven years progressive recruiting experience.
•    Recruiting or Sourcing experience that includes both Agency and corporate recruiting (direct placement body of work from a staffing agency may suffice as corporate experience)
•    Demonstrable experience in a sourcing function and knowledge of relevant sourcing tools and CRM’s
•    Experience consulting business partners on DEI initiatives and associated hiring.
•    A consultative ability to build the advisory relationship with hiring managers and recruiting partners using market data and industry research
•    Expertise using Advanced recruiting techniques like Boolean search strings, X-ray searches as well as other strategies and sourcing tools
•    Experience sourcing talent from underrepresented groups who are likely to add diversity to the organization
•    Must have professional training in behavioral-based interviewing techniques.
