Job Summary

 

We are seeking a Marketing Events Intern/Co-Op for our Event Team to be located locally to our Wilmington, MA site, but will work remote. As a Marketing Event Intern/Co-Op, you will collaborate with the Global Marketing Team, including marketing operations and strategic marketing teams to produce a wide variety of marketing deliverables and reports within all stages of our marketing & sales efforts. Your insightful contribution and fresh perspective will help develop and expand our initiatives and assist you with acquiring event skills and the knowledge of various event marketing strategies.


An Internship/Co-op at Charles River Labs provides real world, hands-on experience for college students looking to gain knowledge and skills required for your career field of choice, while giving you an unparalleled internship experience.  We are dedicated to ensuring our Co-op/Intern population can experience the ability to Grow, Perform, and Succeed during their time on board. 

 

This position will work remotely from a home office. Ideal candidates will live in Massachusetts to have the ability to commute into office when needed and travel to local events.

 


The Marketing Events Intern will be responsible for:


•    Assist with Event Coordination and Project Management
•    Administrative event set up
•    Researching new event technology and potential new conferences
•    Run and analyze reports
•    Create case studies for various event technology use cases
•    Troubleshooting and providing support
•    Creating materials for registration and content systems 
•    Assist with inventory management
•    Annual Event Calendar development and management
 

 

 

 

Job Qualifications

The following are the minimum requirements related to the Marketing Events Intern position:

 

 

  • Student currently enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program
  • Completion of Sophomore year. Must be a Junior or Senior.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Ability to fulfill a minimum of a 10-week internship within the August-December period.
  • Ability to work 36-40 hours/week.
  • Effective communication and listening skills in a teamwork environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects with a strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required
  • Knowledge of Event Management software preferred (CVENT or similar)
  • Creativity and ability to learn new technologies quickly and ability to work independently and be proactive is required
  • A passion and interest in event and tradeshow management and planning preferred

Compensation Data

The pay range for this position is $20/hr - $22.00/hr USD. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location
