We are seeking an experienced  Event Specialist for our site in Wilmington, MA.

BASIC SUMMARY:  

Coordinate event/meeting schedule and related activities for both small and large meetings and events. Lead preshow planning meetings to build objective-focused plans. Execute and evaluate events.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Build and manage meeting/event plans; identify event objectives within show budget.
  • Perform related activities for both small and large meetings/events, including sourcing and managing vendors and interfacing with venue staff to achieve successful event results. 
  • Manage all aspects of planning – from running planning meetings/keeping stakeholders informed to logistics (AV, F/B, etc.) to on-site management (as needed)
  • Evaluate meetings/events and make recommendations/suggestions to enhance the effectiveness of future meetings
  • Research creative ways to promote CR managed events within the industry.
  • Create new options for expanding the potential audience and attendance for CR managed events
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) or equivalent or related discipline.
  • Experience:  Three to five years related experience and/or training, including experience managing large meetings and events.
