Job Summary

Charles River's Organizational Change Management team is looking for a creative multimedia designer who can take conceptual ideas and develop visual representations across digital and print media. The ideal candidate will be skilled with every step of the design process from concept to final deliverables, and be flexible in the design tools that you use from Canva to Adobe Creative Suite. Collaborating with multiple teams at our company, you should be able to take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects to varied audiences. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of branding and marketing, with the ability to adjust style and layouts depending on the project.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

•Design and produce multimedia deliverables (mostly digital, print as necessary) to support business unit and project initiatives
•Create illustrations and animations for presentations, newsletters, infographics, internal SharePoint sites and other communications media
•Provide tools and templates to ensure consistency and integrity of project and company brand
•Assist OCM colleagues in writing engaging copy that is well researched, factual and in line with company brand and project messaging
•Assist in coordinating with translations vendor or country communicators to ensure communications meet local needs
•Collaborate with the Marketing team on project-specific communications deliverables for external audiences
•Understand visual and contextual cues to appropriately integrate content into various design formats
•Work closely with project leadership and OCM colleagues to develop and refine creative concepts for employee communications specific to each project and business unit
•Advise internal customers of solutions, strategies and design directions for best use of communications/media devices to meet their objectives 
•Assist in communications development from evaluating effectiveness and identifying graphic needs through planning, execution and measurement
•Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
•Perform all other related duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

•Bachelor's degree or equivalent in graphic arts, design, communications, marketing or related field
•3+ years design experience including video and animated graphics
•Experience with Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Working knowledge of After Effects and Premiere is a plus.
•Experience with web-based tools such as Canva, Vyond, Biteable, Figma, etc. is a plus, though not required. 
•Ability to work with instructional designers to develop learning content in Articulate Rise and Storyline as well as other LMS systems is a plus, but not required.
•Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web
•Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in an Agile working environment
•Organized and efficient, with close attention to details while handling multiple tasks
•Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate as well as take direction
•An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
