Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Business Development Director to be located remotely in the Bay Area. The Sr. Business Development Director reports directly to the Biohub Regional Sales Manager and is responsible for planning, directing and executing on designated accounts.

 

This will be a hybrid role, working from a home office and visiting strategic clients in person.


The Sr. Business Development Director will be accountable for delivering profitable sales growth for their individual territory by targeting and visiting clients virtually and face to face to build strong relationships and customer loyalty.
The successful candidate will be a self-starting; results focused individual, who will be able to maintain the current business and ongoingly hunt for new opportunities to expand and grow the market share.

 


The following are the essential functions and qualifications we are seeking:


•    Responsible for building profitable annual sales growth and achieving agreed annual sales targets for the portfolio of Research Models & Services within a defined sales territory and/or strategic account portfolio assignment.
•    Builds and executes annual territory sales growth plan.
•    Targets client growth opportunities in the Academic / Biotech sector
•    Navigates and networks complex decision-making units in large accounts to identify key decision makers, build relevant relationships/client loyalty and grow CRL market share and sales volume across the Research Models & Services portfolio
•    Builds detailed account plans for coordinated management and reporting of client opportunities 
•    Utilizes CRM system effectively and efficiently to provide real-time communication of client activities and opportunity management
•    Represents CRL Research Models & Services at key relevant scientific conferences
•    Pro-actively provides market and competitor feedback through formal marketing intelligence reporting system
 

Job Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA degree) in life science or business-related subject. 
•    Minimum of 5 -10 years of relevant industry experience.
•    Demonstrable account planning and management skills
•    Direct experience using CRM for client management and activity reporting
•    Experience working with Academic Research Facilities
 

Compensation Data

The pay range for this position is $110 - 130K USD. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
