Job Summary

The pay range for this position is $25.00 -$27.00 USD per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.

 

BASIC SUMMARY:

Administer and maintains EHS programs, makes recommendations for changes and improvements to
the programs, prepares, and submits reports to regulatory agencies, provided EHS training as needed,
manages workers compensation related injuries and claims. Takes on role as primary EHS contact
when Associate Director, EHS is offsite or not available.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Administer and maintain biowaste at the CRL-RNO facility including waste profiling, permitting,
manifesting, record keeping and reports.
• Oversee transportation and maintain logs of biowaste material; ensure competency of digestor
operators.
• Maintain a preventative maintenance program within the confines of an annual budget .
• Administer and maintain the environmental index and permit database, assist with ensuring up
to date records for compliance for all regulatory agencies, and sponsor inspections.
• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of company health and safety programs
• Maintain all Safety Data Sheets (SDS), database(s), perform scheduled inventory of products
and document locations of products, data entry of all required SDS information into appropriate
tracking database.
• Conduct safety training classes as qualified and required
• Assist in coordinating and scheduling of safety committee meetings.
• Inventory, stock, and order safety supplies.
• Perform respirator fit testing and monitor and review respirator monthly inspection and end of
service logs.
• Conduct inspections of safety shower and eyewash checks in conjunction with others on the
team.
• Attend annual Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.
 

Job Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) required. Associates
Degree (A.A./A.S.) or equivalent in environmental science, environmental engineering or
related discipline preferred
• Experience: 2 years related experience in a health & safety and or environmental position.
Experience in regulatory environment preferred.
