Job Summary

 

As a Senior Payroll Specialist for our Human Resources team at our Senneville site, you will be responsible for administering the Canadian payroll function, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing. The incumbent of this role will also take on/lead process improvement initiatives.

 

 

In this role, primary responsibilities include: 

 

  • Process, reconcile and audit bi-weekly payroll for Canada employees 
  • Perform remittances related to payroll (RRSP, alimony, etc.) 
  • Make changes and additions to group insurance premiums when required 
  • Prepare special “off-cycle” payroll runs for bonus and stock options 
  • Audit ADP Workforce Now and SuccessFactors data and resolve variances
  • Manage quarterly and annual pension audits 
  • Provide payroll level 2 and 3 support 
  • Collaborate/lead process improvement initiatives (SAP Timesheets and ADP WFN) 
  • Participate in the preparation of year-end audit files related to payroll 

Key Elements

 

We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role: 

 

  • DEC in Administration or any combination of experience and academic background relevant to the position will be considered; 
  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience; 
  • Certification/Licensure: Member of the Canadian Payroll Association (an asset); 
  • Demonstrates an interest in the development and implementation of control and reporting practices. Good knowledge of the laws, principles, practices and procedures related to the position. Fluency in both languages (French and English), both oral and written. Good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Good analytical, problem-solving skills. Ability to work to deadlines and adapt to change. Proactive approach
