Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of MS&T, leads the site based (Memphis or Hanover) manufacturing sciences and technology (MS&T) organization. Provides leadership to enable the implementation and transfer of new technologies and client programs to CRL’s facilities. The role will interact with internal and external functional leaders/clients to ensure success.

 

  • Knowledgeable in industry technology transfer principles and guidance.
  • Provides functional leadership to the MS&T teams that support the product transfer from the process development and establishment stage to current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMPs) production.
  • Provides updates to the teams detailing scheduling adherence, quality, and safety of active technology transfers.
  • Provides high level technology transfer strategy, developing procedures and processes to support the function.
  • Responsible for ensuring that process implementation objectives and client expectations are met.
  • Supports the development and delivery of training materials to ensure that the operational, scientific, and analytical training of employees involved with new processes/clients.
  • Responsible for reviewing and analyzing data, designing additional experiments, and helping with report writing.
  • Ensures a cohesive, integrated manufacturing environment and the transfer of technology is thorough and well-coordinated.
  • Builds alliances within internal functions and external parties (clients) to ensure technology transfer objectives are met.
  • Evaluates potential new programs/clients and provides input related to scope of work, costing/pricing of services, and strategy

  • Performs all other duties as assigned

 

Job Qualifications

  • B.S. in an appropriate area of specialization
  • Minimum of 7years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in Leadership role required. 
  • Experience working in a GMP/ laboratory / Medical Device/Manufacturing environment required
  • Advanced knowledge of cGMP, clean room manufacturing, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Detail oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Must possess effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Must display a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Must demonstrate initiative to remain apprised of relevant industry and regulatory trends.
  • Project management and planning experience a plus.
  • Experience working with external clients and vendors a plus.
