Job Summary

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Support Global Accugenix IT Systems to ensure prioritization of issues minimal downtime.
  • Set-up of devices (pc and mobile devices) and related hardware to include configuration, installation and testing. Implementation of new hardware and software systems and the retirement/disposition of software and hardware.
  • Assist with the relocation of equipment and configuration changes.
  • Assist in the evaluation, implementation and testing of new PC packages/prototypes.
  • Provide in-house assistance to all users on PC basics.  Answer routine to moderately complex questions and resolve end-user computer and networking problems to ensure end-user productivity.  May do this via telephone, email or in person. Escalate issues to the next level of support as needed.
  • Follow through to ensure resolution in situations where standard procedures have failed to isolate or fix problem equipment or software installations.
  • Provide training and support to new and existing users on enterprise software packages and upgrades as required.
  • Produce and maintain technical information, IT standards, service policies and request forms both online and in print format to contribute to a managed workplace.
  • Assist with computer system validation activities, including the writing of IT related SOPs for GMP activities.

Job Qualifications

 

  • Meticulous attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Office Products (e.g. Microsoft suite and VBA).
  • Organisational and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility - Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Experience of working in an IT support environment preferable.
