Job Summary

The Senior Test Engineer serves as a lead role and is responsible to evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies for our projects besides manual testing of our laboratory software/hardware products. This position is a combination of advisory and hands-on involvement for UI testing experience, preferably with Cypress. The senior test engineer will work in conjunction with our System Integration and Software Development teams, responsible to build QA UI test automation scripts and to design, architecture, automation test platforms. Extensive knowledge of Cypress, Azure pipelines and manual software/hardware testing is required to be a successful Senior Test Engineer.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Design, implement, and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirement specifications are met
•Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and architectures for web application projects
•Create integration and end to end test cases using Cypress for React.JS web applications and ensure integration Azure pipelines
•Develop a variety of test only scripts to help teams manage test data
•Conduct manual test cases using our laboratory instruments and custom instrumentation software
•Serve as a specialist providing testing know-how of complex software/hardware user and system requirements
•Participates in adhoc projects and performs other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Education:  
•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent Engineering skillset and work experience in Software Engineering

Experience: 
•5 years of software testing including JavaScript, Cypress UI automation scripts, writing/executing manual/automation test cases, writing/executing validation and verification procedures, and conducted UAT test procedures is required
•Knowledge of continuous integration system (Azure DevOps) to automate application builds, testing, and deployments to web servers are nice to have
•Experience in a regulated software development environment is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:
•Excellent critical systems integration thinking, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment
•Highly motivated self-starter with a desire to help others and act
•Possess strong communication skill, including written, verbal and presentation in English
•Knowledge in open-source software tools
