We are looking for a Lead Cagewash Technician (Bldg 35) to join our Insourcing Solutions team, located in Bethesda, MD

What impact you will have!

In the Lead Cagewash Technician role, you will sanitize, maintain, and repair caging materials as needed, in addition to operating equipment and using supplies in accordance with safety guidelines. You will assist with the receipt, stocking, and maintenance of supply inventories; as well as prepare and submit required written records, charts, logs and inventories. You will also actively interact with customers to resolve requests, inquiries, and concerns, and to provide technical assistance.

 

You will also have the following responsibilities:

  • Maintains facility equipment and performs routine preventative maintenance on cagewash and autoclaves, including routine inspection of cleaning filters and roto-arms.
  • Responsible for conducting trouble shooting on the equipment and reporting any problems to the Cagewash Supervisor. If necessary, communicating directly with the manufacturers on problems with the equipment.
  • In the absence of the Cagewash Supervisor, is responsible for scheduling the staff, ensuring work and all related paperwork is completed.

Other duties will include general housekeeping, in addition to reviewing, comprehending, and complying with all SOPs and quality assurance standards pertaining to specific areas.

Who are we looking for?

A candidate that possesses a high school diploma or GED is required. A minimum six months of successful performance in cagewash facility operations is required.

 

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - 19.50 per hour.  Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
