Job Summary

 

The Product Owner creates the product roadmap and defines the strategic vision for their team driven by the overall vision.  They should have a strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) technologies and will work closely with the engineering, operational and application teams to deliver on these technologies. They will  build close relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that the team’s effort is aligned with the overall strategy and manage dependencies with other teams while identifying, building, and managing strategic partnerships. This role will manage the IAM product and service lifecycle and is responsible for developing roadmaps by working with the application teams that utilize the services as well as the vendors and engineering teams who execute the technical development. 

 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  
•    Set an ambitious and clear product vision and communicate it effectively to stakeholders, the immediate team, and the rest of the business unit
•    Determine end- to-end team output strategy from inception to production
•    Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure digital vision and products align with the team strategy and requirements
•    Accountable for product specific OKRs once the solution enters production; Communicate regular tracking of goals to stakeholders 
•    Utilize market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for the team  
•    Maintain a backlog 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the team
•    Work closely with the CPO to establish each product’s business value and support messaging, communication, and customer outreach as necessary
•    Facilitate release planning with stakeholders and deliver regular demos
•    Work as a key member on the Agile team(s) 
•    Integrate usability studies and research into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction and ensure customer driven design
•    Align outward facing product requirements with stakeholders’ expectations
•    Perform all other related duties as assigned.
 

Job Qualifications


•    Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.    
•    Experience: Experienced in leading Agile teams and facilitating Agile ceremonies, managing a backlog/release plan, tracking team level metrics, removing blockers (burndown chart, release burn up, etc.)  Experience with B2C digital products helpful. Proven knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the relevant industry a plus.  Strong collaboration experience with cross-functional teams from tech, design, and business. Proven knowledge and understanding of standard precision practices, technology and supporting industry principles. 
•    An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above
•    Certification/Licensure:  None
•    Other: Strong leader, collaborator, team player, and individual contributor. Strong communication skills with comfort  speaking with business and technical stakeholders. Strong problem solver with ability to manage and lead the team to push forward with a solution and make effective progress. Passion to challenge the status quo and find new solutions and drive out of the box ideas –loves and embraces change.
