Biotechnicus (32-40 uur)

Afdeling: 
Met bijna 30 medewerkers is onze Discovery site een toegewijde groep die zich richt op farmacokinetische en farmacologische studies om de pathofysiologie van neurologische aandoeningen beter te begrijpen.  

Team: 
Als biotechnicus bij Charles River Discovery kom je te werken in een collegiaal team. Iedereen staat voor elkaar klaar en naast dat er hard wordt gewerkt, is ook ruimte voor gezelligheid. Je werkt binnen jouw team zelfstandig en met elkaar aan de verschillende studies. Daarnaast spreek je regelmatig met de analisten en de Study Directors van de site over het verloop van de studies.  

 

Over je rol: 
Je bent als biotechnicus bij onze Discovery site onderdeel van de afdeling biotechniek, waar diverse studies uitgevoerd worden voor onderzoek naar de ontwikkeling van medicijnen. Samen met jouw collega’s draag jij, kwaliteitsbewust, de zorg voor het goed verlopen van de studies. Daarbij verlies je nooit het welzijn van de dieren uit het oog. Het onderzoek dat je uitvoert wordt gedaan met zowel ratten als muizen.
 
Primaire verantwoordelijkheden:  
•    Verrichten van uiteenlopende biotechnische handelingen zoals het doseren, observaties en gedragstesten. Maar ook de bloedafnames in uiteenlopende studies; 
•    Verrrichten van onder andere stereotactische operaties en jugularis cannulaties;
•    Verzamelen en documenteren van de experimentele gegevens;
•    Nauw samenwerken met je collega`s en goed contact houden met de betrokken Study Directors.  

 

Wat is vereist? 
•    Een afgeronde opleiding MBO-4 of HBO met artikel 9 of 13F;   
•    De bereidheid om regelmatig weekend- of avondwerk te verrichten; 
•    Functioneren zowel zelfstandig als in teamverband; 
•    Een flexibele en kwaliteitsbewuste instelling; 
•    Interesse om jezelf verder te ontwikkelen met betrekking tot de diverse biotechnische handelingen en operaties.
