Job Summary

Senior Data Engineer (API for Data Platform) 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer for our IT Analytics Delivery Team located in India. The team is seeking top-notch talent in the Microsoft Azure full data stack and modern data toolset. The following are responsibilities related to the Senior Data Engineer (API):

  • Interacts with senior-level customers to consult on scalable enterprise analytics solutions that provide the business with a competitive advantage.
  • Develops technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
  • Design and build a modern data warehouse/ lake in the cloud
  • Design and build a customer 360
  • Implement a flexible and audible data pipeline
  • Enhance data collection procedures to build analytic systems.
  • Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear and user-friendly manner
  • Perform testing, resolve issues, and automate unit tests.
  • Develop proof-of-concept (POC) solutions to help business units better visualize their business needs and to clarify requirements for development.

 

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline, Master’s Degree preferred
  • 7+ years of software development experience in Big Data
  • 7+ years of experience in modern programming languages – Java, Java-based frameworks (Spring, Maven), Python
  • 3+ Years of experience in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • 3+ years of experience with multi-threading, concurrency, and highly scalable Microservices and REST web Services
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
  • Extensive experience with message-driven software patterns such as Service Bus, Kafka, Tibco, EMS, and MQ
  • Skilled in Azure stack such as SQL Server, Redis, App Service, APIM, etc.
  • Experience working in data and analytics in the Life Sciences industry
