MANAGER/SR MANAGER LABORATORY SCIENCES
As we are expanding our operations, we are now looking for a Manager/Sr Manager Laboratory Sciences to lead our Formulation, Necropsy & Histology and Data Analytics teams. In this role you are responsible for ensuring that the lab operations meet the service needs of our pre-clinical research clients with high quality and productivity. You oversee your department’s resource planning, capacity optimization and development of the lab operations. You ensure the execution of multiple parallel projects to drive preclinical service program development. As a manager, you lead the department with tactical and strategic vision to meet the future requirements of our business. Your responsibility is to boost your team’s performance by coaching and ensuring inclusive, safe, and healthy working environment.
You report directly to the General Manager of the Kuopio site. The position is permanent and full-time.
What you should bring with you:
• Strong leadership skills with prior experience in project-based work that requires adapting to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Proven track record of similar role(s) in the field of bioanalytical technologies and/or pharmacy.
• Excellent collaboration skills as we are working in multinational teams across multiple time-zones.
• Analytical mindset with ability to identify and mitigate risks and challenges influencing quality of the work and business performance.
• Experience in meeting operational performance targets while ensuring efficiency, quality and compliance.
• MSc or PhD Degree in Life Sciences accompanied by scientific experience and troubleshooting knowledge of the related technologies (e.g. formulation, gene and protein expression analysis, immunohistochemistry, and in vitro work).
• Professional command of spoken and written Finnish and English.
