Job Summary

 

 

Stationary Engineer / Building Mechanics –  MMF Class 4B/HVAC experience – Day shift

 

 

As a Stationary Engineer / Building Mechanics for our Electro mechanics and Central Power Plant department in Sherbrooke, you will be responsible to ensure proper operations, maintenance, inspections for all installed equipments and services in relation to building HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditionning) and others as well as responsible for operations of the mechanical rooms and thermal power plants.

 

 

In this role, key responsibilities include: 

 

  • Respond to service calls and assist external contractors.
  • Operate the BAS (building automated systems) of the building "Metasys" and others.
  • Ensure that controlled environmental conditions, validated and non-validated (temperature, relative humidity, differential pressure, air change), follow the required set points. Take differential pressure readings.
  • Open/Close work-order in MAXIMO and place orders in SAP. 
  • Various repairs.
  • Perform certain preventive/corrective maintenance as well as calibration to equipments.
     

 

Key Elements

 

We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role:

 

  • Education: Secondary 5
  • Certification/ License: MMF class 3B (Qualification certificate, Class 3 heating / Class B refrigeration) ideally
    • Class 4B with HVAC experience 
  • Must be able to come onsite within 30 minutes when on call
  • Experience as thermal power plant operator is an asset
  • Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and be able to climb a step ladder or ladder. 
  • Must be able to work standing up all day and to work on a computer keyboard, for a minimum of 4 hours a day.

 

Please note that upon being hired, you will have to undergo an annual tuberculosis test at the expense of the company.

 


Role Specific Information:

 

  • Location: easily accessible using Sherbrooke’s public transit system. Free parking. Electric vehicle charging station.
  • Pay: To be discussed.
  • Schedule: Full time, permanent position (37.5 hours/week), depending on the needs, you may have to do overtime (On call) and work on weekend (bonus ($2.75/hour).
