Job Summary

We are seeking a Cagewash Technician 1 for our Insourcing Solutions site located in Baltimore, MD.

 

As the Cagewash Technician role, you will provide cleaning and maintenance of laboratory animal caging, equipment and cage preparation areas, as well as cleaning of animal support areas.

 

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Sanitize caging and related equipment using cage washers, pressure washer or hand washing.
  • Prepare clean cages for use.
  • Properly dispose of various types of waste in specified receptacles.
  • Monitor and record results of cagewash water temperature and cleaning.
  • Ensures that all logbooks, checklists and other records are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Assist with housekeeping duties such as trash collection, and cleaning animal facility laboratories, offices, and ancillary areas.
  • Maintain equipment, perform microbiological sampling, and assist in basic animal husbandry support.

 

Job Qualifications

The following are minimum requirements related to the Cagewash Technician position:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Cagewash experience preferred


 
The pay for this position is $17.20 per hour.
