Biologist (Infusion Toxicology)

Responsible for the performance of assigned animal studies in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice Regulations and Standard Operating Procedures with little supervision/instruction. Responsibilities include husbandry, dosing and observation of live animals on a daily basis and the maintenance and review of study records.  Function as lead technician for individual studies.

All functions of Associate Biologist
Advanced animal observations (dermal scoring, nasal exams)
Input of computer protocols
Computerized study randomization
Function as lead technician for complex studies 
Advanced dosing procedures (IV, SQ, IM, IP)
Advanced bleeding techniques (retro-orbital, catheter)
Advanced behavioral evaluations (motor activity, startle)
Anesthesia monitoring / surgical prep of materials and animals
Assist in QA Audits
Advanced editing of computerized data
Assist in training of other personnel

Key skills include training and/or a minimum of 1-year experience working with live animals and scientific procedures, attention to detail and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to interact with multiple personalities and ethnic backgrounds.
B.S.  Degree, minimum of 1 year experience at Associate Biologist level or relevant experience
AALAS ALAT  Certification within 2 years in position, LAT preferred
Attendance at affiliated association meetings pertaining to department when authorized by  Senior Management
