Job Summary

We are seeking a Technician I for our Biologics site located in Wilmington, MA.

The following are responsibilities related to the Technician I:

•    Understand and comply with all SOPs pertaining to specific area.
•    Assist with animal husbandry - which can include feed, watering, and cleaning cages as required.  Monitor animal health, visually.
•    Maintain accurate departmental record keeping.
•    Strictly follow all procedures necessary to maintain the BSL-2 environment, including correct spraying, and transfer procedures.
•    Sterilize and discard used lab materials, as required 
•    Assist in packing and transferring biohazard waste.
•    Perform general housekeeping and adhere to safety procedures.
•    Adhere to departmental and Charles River EHS standards when performing job functions.  This includes the use of appropriate PPE.
•    Maintain proficiency in all department’s SOPs with general knowledge of the In Vivo Biosafety processes
•    Perform all other related duties as assigned.

The following are minimum qualifications related to theTechnician I position:

•    Education:  High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) 
•    Experience:  Six months related experience and/or training.
•    An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
