Job Summary

 

Responsible for transforming designs and the product vision into high value business applications.  Works as a developer in a multidisciplinary squad. Stays on top of fast changing technology and invests a lot of energy in learning new capabilities. Knowledgeable on industry trends in application development and aware of what the near future will bring.  A love for learning software skills and a passion for high quality solutions.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  
•    Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to build applications according to the design and provide designers with feedback and suggest tradeoffs when required
•    Contribute to the analysis, design, development, implementation, integration and documentation of software systems
•    Understand the business domain and actively works with users on the integration of business applications with web and company information sources
•    Ensure code follows the latest best practices and industry standards and is compliant with applicable guidelines and regulations (e.g., SOX, SOP, GLP, GMP, etc.).
•    Work closely with other developers to understand and properly use available APIs
•    Write both unit and integration tests, and develop automation tools for daily tasks
•    Challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts
•    Work closely with users, other computing personnel and, where necessary, suppliers of computer systems to identify/isolate software problems and faults.
•    Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

 

Education:
o    Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in computer science or related discipline.  

 

Experience:
o    Minimum of 2 years related experience in application development with full stack development on a cross functional agile team preferred.
o    An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
o    Understanding of Agile methodologies and use of Application Lifecycle Management tools
o    Programming experience with object oriented languages such as C# or Java, of other web app technologies; HTML, CSS/LESS/SCSS, JavaScript, and of responsive design, of app infrastructure technologies; browsers, applications servers and of SQL and related database technologies.
o    Experience in low-code development, particularly the OutSystems platform is desirable
o    An understanding of RESTful APIs and how use them in practice
o    Ability to write effective unit, integration, and end user automated tests

•    Other:  
o    Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align organization on decisions
o    Sound problem solving skills with the ability to quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply
o    Utilizes team collaboration to create innovative solutions efficiently
