Job Summary


Charles River is seeking a full time Senior Marketing Specialist to support the development and implementation of marketing plans for the Insourcing Solutions (IS) and CRADL business team to achieve operational goals and ensure a high level of responsiveness to internal and external clients.  Coordinate a variety of marketing communication programs and provide general marketing support for an assigned business segment.  Responsible for marketing collateral development, trade show coordination, sales support, and other related functions.


This position will work remotely and can located anywhere in the USA, preferably West Coast / San Diego area. 


• Work collaboratively with the marketing team to develop and produce collateral and/or digital content representative of Insourcing Solutions facility, staffing, and consultation services.
• Assist in information collection and work with business analytics to help research and understand the market dynamics and market potential in assigned areas to identify market growth opportunities to incorporate within marketing program development.
• Assist in the implementation of strategic and tactical marketing plans to support and achieve business goals and objectives.
• Coordinate marketing activities for business segment to ensure high level of responsiveness to customers and the business development organization.
• Organize and work with event specialists to develop strategic trade show plans, budgets, department duties, and achieve representation for our business unit. • Support logistics and management of virtual and in-person events such as facility launches, webinars, workshops and seminars.
• Develop and manage content for invitations and landing pages relating to virtual and in-person events.
• Assist in the maintenance of content on website landing pages and work with Marketing Operations team to upload new resources to relevant pages.
• Support social content and campaign develop and maintain a social media strategy.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all company product lines with more in-depth knowledge of business segment that is being supported.
• Attend relevant tradeshows, conferences and Charles River events, as needed.
• Manage vendors (advertising, 3rd party contracts, etc.) where required.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.


Job Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) or equivalent in marketing, business or related discipline.
  • Experience: 3-5 years related experience in marketing with strong copywriting and editing skill
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Excellent verbal communication and project management skills.
  • Salesforce and Pardot proficiency preferred
