Job Summary

The NHP importation team is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support the financial planning and month-end activities.  This position will report to the Director of Finance of NHP Importation.  

To be successful, you should be able to perform a variety of financial activities including planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting.  You should also have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be able to present financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Analyze actual costs and prepare reporting for the leadership team on a monthly basis.  
  • Prepare supporting trend analysis to assist with monthly forecasting and annual budget in identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis with forward looking focus.  
  • Prepare supporting analysis to evaluate standard cost variances and trends. 
  • Analyze complex financial data and integrate relevant operational data to support business insight.
  • Participate in monthly close process and interact with the accounting team.
  • Interact with cost center owners to review results and recommend cost improvement measures.
  • Ensures compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and other relevant regulations.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis on Finance Director or leadership requests.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
  • Experience: 5 years of related experience and/or training, with proven 2+ years of financial planning, analysis, and modeling experience.
  • Systems:  Proficiency in SAP, or related financial systems.
  • Technology: Excellent Excel skills required and proficiency with other MS tools.  Smartsheet and data extraction and organization are necessary to be successful with an aptitude to leverage power query, power pivot, and power BI. 
  • Other: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to support a collaborative team in a remote workforce environment. 
  • Other: Ability to adapt to changing priorities to support the business.
