Job Summary

We are seeking a Procurement Co-Op: Lab Operations Purchasing for our Corporate site located in Wilmington, MA.

 

The following are responsibilities related to the Procurement Co-Op: Lab Operations Purchasing:

  • Role is in support of key Lab Operations procurement projects including implementation of Scientific Services technology platform, site transition support for supplies and consumables category and Life Sciences RFP.  Candidates should have scientific background such as chemistry, biology or bio-chemistry, strong data analytics' and a desire to learn. 
  • Provide support for Lab Operations
  • Support the roll out of marketplace platforms such as Science Exchange or Scientist.com
  • Capture outsourcing requirements from scientists and ensure that the platform will support
  • Work with Procurement Process Improvement to ensure that system support is fully tested and functional
  • Provide support for Purchasing for new site/lab openings (China, South America for example) 
  • Provide support with the Life Sciences Products spend baselining and ultimately support with the RFP process

 

The following are minimum qualifications related to the Procurement Co-Op: Lab Ops Purchasing position:

  • Student currently enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management
  • Completion of Sophomore year
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Ability to fulfill a 6-month co-op engagement beginning in June 2019
  • Effective communication and listening skills in a teamwork environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects with a strong attention to detail
