Marketing Specialist - Discovery

Job Summary


Coordinate a variety of marketing communication programs and provide general marketing support for the Discovery marketing business segment.  Responsible for marketing collateral development, trade show coordination, sales support, and other related functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with global marketing team to develop and produce marketing collateral representative of Discovery services offered globally.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of tactical marketing plans to support and achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate marketing activities for an assigned business segment to ensure high level of responsiveness to customers and the business development organization.
  • Organize and manage trade show duties and representation when required.
  • Monitor, research, analyze and report on data related to business intelligence as well as departmental key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.


  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) or equivalent in marketing, business or related discipline. B.A./B.S in a scientific discipline a plus.
  • Experience:  2 - 4 years related experience in marketing or customer service.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Certification/Licensure:  None.
  • Other:  Proven ability with MS Excel and PowerPoint software required. Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM platforms preferred (Pardot and SFDC preferred).


  • Must regularly operate a computer and occasionally operate other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Must regularly communicate with employees/customers; must be able to exchange accurate information verbally (in person and on the phone) and in writing. Must occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.


  • General office working conditions.The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. This position requires occasional domestic and occasional international travel.

They partner with their colleagues across the company to develop and drive strategies and to set global standards.
