Job Summary

We are seeking a Marketing Events Intern for our Corporate Functions located in Wilmington, MA. 

The following are the minimum requirements:

  • Student currently enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program
  • Completion of Sophomore year
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Ability to fulfill a minimum of a 10 week internship within June – August time period
  • Effective communication and listening skills in a teamwork environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects with a strong attention to detail

Forty hour per week summer intern wanted to work with a busy meeting and event planning team to support their projects.  A passion and interest in event and tradeshow management and planning would be ideal. 

Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Knowledge of Event Management software preferred (CVENT or similar). Creativity and ability to learn new technologies quickly and ability to work independently and be proactive is needed.

  • Assist with Event Coordination and Project Management
  • Administrative event set up
  • A/V negotiations
  • Run and analyze reports
  • Troubleshooting and providing support
  • Video editing (Knovio) – similar to Brainshark
  • Creating materials for registration and content systems (CVENT, Knovio)
  • Event competitor research

The Corporate Functions provide operational support across Charles River in areas such as Human Resources, Finance, IT, Legal, Sales, Quality Assurance, Marketing, and Corporate Development. They partner with their colleagues across the company to develop and drive strategies and to set global standards.
