Job Summary

We are seeking a Manager, RMS Client Portfolio Management located in Wilmington, MA

 

The Manager, RMS Client Portfolio Management, provides leadership to a team of client portfolio managers and project managers supporting the Genetically Engineered Models and Services (GEMS) client portfolio. The portfolio management team spans numerous key client accounts for GEMS across multiple US sites. The client portfolio includes large pharmaceutical, biotech, and academic institutions. Position requires complex planning and in-depth analysis to ensure that project managers meet client expectations and deadlines.

 

In addition to leading a team, the Manager, RMS Client Portfolio Management, will function as a primary client contact, with guidance from senior scientific staff, for activities related to the planning and execution of client programs. They will interact with clients in order to understand their requirements to disseminate and partner with Business Development, Client Services, Operational Staff, and Quality Assurance Staff. Absolutely essential for this position is the careful organization, preparation, and distribution of information necessary to ensure operational milestones are met from contract development to final reporting.

 

The Manager, RMS Client Portfolio Management, will work in collaboration with Key Strategic Account Managers to develop and execute on GEMS strategies. They will also collaborate across departments to ensure quality customer service is provided for client account programs. Furthermore, they will ensure communication and strong governance with all stakeholders both internal and external.
 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in life sciences or related discipline.
  • Minimum of five years of experience supervising a team.
  • Minimum of five years of project management experience.
  • Minimum of five years related experience in Pharma, Biotech, or Academia.
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Ability to multi-task, excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail required. 
  • Must possess excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills and be able to prioritize and re-evaluate priorities as situations change. 
  • Working knowledge of computer software (MS Word, MS Excel, SAP, Colony Management Systems).

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MBA or other advanced degree.
  • Working knowledge of scientific/technical aspects of rodent genetics.
  • Experience with Client Resource Management systems (e.g., Salesforce).
