Job Summary

Perform cradle to grave contract administration, as directed by the Associate Director of Government Contract Management, which will entail supporting one or more Business Areas, administering and providing guidance to internal stakeholders on contract requirements.



•    Administer a wide variety of Government contracts (from solicitation through closeout), including all contract types, commercial and non-commercial sales, and monitor contract performance.
•    Reviews Requests for Proposals and participates in preparing compliant proposal responses.
•    In a supporting role to the business unit, negotiate contracts in accordance with business goals and document substance of discussions, agreements and results.
•    Reviews contractual documents for accuracy, performance risk, and conformance with contract terms, conditions, and applicable federal regulations and gains consensus from internal stakeholders prior to signature / acceptance of contract documents.
•    Responds to internal and external customers regarding contract issues, audits, and compliance requirements.
•    Monitors program performance for scope changes and takes appropriate action.
•    Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on contract requirements including FAR, and contract terms and conditions.  
•    Works within the program team, acts as a liaison between internal team and external customer.
•    Complete the contract administration responsibilities for each contract action accurately and timely.  
•    Oversees centralized tracking and reporting of Government Property; works closely with site operation leaders to ensure compliance to property system requirements
•    Manages Service Contract reporting and Contractor Manpower reporting requirements and coordinate with program control.
•    If applicable, performs subcontract administration for government contracts 
•    Maintain detailed and compliant contract files.
•    Perform all other related duties as assigned.  

Job Qualifications

 •    Education:  Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in business administration or related discipline.   
•    Experience:  Minimum of seven years related experience administering Government contracts, both commercial and non-commercial.  Working knowledge of the FAR.  
•    An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
•    Experience with GSA Schedules desired; familiarity with all contract types; experience with contract negotiations.  
•    Certification/Licensure: Paralegal Certificate desired, not required.  
•    Other:  Self-starter, ability to multi-task, excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, social awareness, and attention to detail required. Must possess analytical thinking and problem solving skills and can prioritize and re-evaluate priorities as situations change. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, SharePoint, Smartsheets, FTP sites, SAP and video conference/sharing.


•    Must regularly operate a computer and occasionally operate other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. 
•    Must regularly communicate with employees/clients and must be able to exchange accurate information verbally and in writing.
•    Must occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. 


•    General office working conditions.
•    The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.


•    This position requires limited domestic travel.
