Job Summary

We are seeking for an Associate Director, Global Applications Delivery for our Information Technology Group located in Wilmington, MA.  
The CRL IT organization is looking for an energetic professional to build and lead a solution delivery team focused on Finance and HR applications within Project Delivery.  The Associate Director - Global Applications Delivery will have responsibility for managing a team of IT Analysts and Specialists focused on delivering SAP,, Web and other projects.  This role will help to achieve and maintain a high level of employee engagement, customer satisfaction and team productivity.
Key responsibilities of the position include:
•    Lead a high performing team that delivers Finance and HR and solutions (reliable, high quality, scalable)
•    Achieve and maintain high customer satisfaction on services provided by the Data Migration Services practice
•    Maximize the flow of work through Project Delivery while delivering on our Value Promise:  on-time, on-budget, on-quality
•    Build and manage an organization responsible for the design, build, and deploy functions within the project delivery applications team.
•    Manage staff according to the CRL IT Management Practices
•    Manage external strategic partners to develop and deliver technical solutions
•    Measure and monitor team progress to ensure deliverables are met on time, on/under budget, and meet/exceed expectations.
•    Partner closely with Project and Production Management team to evaluate incoming delivery projects for resource and skillset needs, plan for the execution phase, and deliver.
•    Ensure ongoing professional development of team members to ensure cross functional capabilities
•    Lead efforts to ensure optimal data structure within assigned area to meet functional needs, and provide recommendations to Data Migration group to ensure appropriate conversion of data.
•    Present project progress, issues and decisions to IT management team and business stakeholders.
•    Ensure that adequate resources and solutions are available to support the success of the project in assigned area(s).
•    Work with internal control to develop control narratives, control sets and procedures 
•    Identify metrics and related reports that will be used after implementation to monitor process integrity and identify potential issues.  
•    Develop and oversee the implementation of departmental training programs, including orientation.
•    Ensure adherence to pertinent regulatory requirements and to departmental policies, practices and procedures.
•    Initiate ongoing improvements in the value delivered by the Finance and HR team -- i.e. quality, flow of work through the system, components of value delivered sooner, hand-off mechanisms & documentation.

Job Requirements

The following are minimum qualifications related to the Associate Director - Global Applications Delivery position:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in computer science, engineering, business administration or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years in application delivery including SAP applications. 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as Manager, Team Lead, Project Lead, etc. 
  • Minimum 4 years of full cycle
  • Effective communication skills for large, multi-national audiences.
  • Management acumen – Solid understanding and demonstrated ability to provide:
    • Build and manage a high performing team.
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills including collaboration, influencing & aligning.
    • High Emotional Intelligence (EQ).
  • Relationship building.            
  • Business acumen – Experience managing budgets, understanding of customer value.
  • Operational Performance – Understanding of and/or experience with Theory of Constraints (TOC).
  • Experience and/or understanding of Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM)
