Basic Summary

We are seeking a Manager, Capital Projects for our Biologics Testing Solutions site located in Wayne, PA.

 

In collaboration with Senior Management, plan, execute, and deliver site-level projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes all project management activities including scope management, requirements, communication management, issue and risk management, and budget and resource management. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate to develop and facilitate projects that are aligned with business objectives and priorities with corresponding plans to resource and execute the projects.
  • Bid and coordinate all aspects of construction projects, coordinating plan reviews, verifying compliance with site design standards and applicable building codes.
  • Assist with developing and tracking the overall project plan.
  • Responsible for all aspects of capital forecasting and planning including equipment.
  • Maintain projects on-time and on-budget, reporting progress, managing expectations and risk, and ensuring post-implementation benefits are realized, sustained and tracked.
  • Provide program and/or specific project updates weekly to management and escalate issues as appropriate to leadership.   


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in architecture, engineering, or construction related field or equivalent combination of work experience (including specialty in a trade) and training.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience. 
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Life science (pharmaceutical/CRO) experience in a lab operation setting.
  • Understanding of project management concepts and tools to progress projects.
  • Ability to lead teams in a complex matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with all aspects of construction and renovation projects, including:
    • planning, design,
    • permitting, purchasing 
    • procurement and project management.
  • Proficient with Microsoft suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project) and Smartsheet.
  • Strong verbal, written and organizational skills.
