Job Summary

 

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director, Human Resources for our Discovery and Safety Assessment business in Europe.  This position can be located in any of our sites within the U.K. or Europe.

 

The successful candidate will lead the Human Resources function to support the organisation’s business goals and ensure that the business has the people and organisational capabilities to succeed. As a key member of the human resources team, play a leading role in driving global and regional HR initiatives. Partner with the other senior HR professionals in contributing to the successful deployment of the company’s global HR strategy in the UK and Europe.

 

Key responsibilities for the Executive Director, Human Resources position include:

  • Providing strong and effective Leadership to the UK and EU HR team.
  • Deliver a passionate HR service to our business that is commercially minded and customer focused.
  • Develop close working relationships with key stakeholders to build the credibility of HR and to drive change projects which support business growth whilst maintaining good practice and compliance with legislation.
  • Work closely with Discovery & Safety Assessment business leaders and local HR leaders to ensure that the remuneration, performance management and incentive review processes are managed effectively in the UK and EU.
  • Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure the effective and efficient recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
  • Provide consistent and timely HR reporting.
  • Deliver on ad-hoc projects as required.

 

The following are minimum requirements related to the Executive Director, Human Resources position.

  • Extensive experience of leading a HR team across multiple locations
  • Deep understanding of UK and Europe employment legislation and labour/works councils relations
  • Understanding of benefit programmes in the different countries
  • Proven experience of working autonomously, ideally in a business partner role
  • Some experience of project management and delivery
