Operations Director, CRADL

We are seeking a qualified Operations Director for our Insourcing Solutions CRADL site in the South San Francisco, CA area.

The Operations Director, CRADL will be responsible for leading the Insourcing Solutions North American CRADL bio hub business and operations.

They will provide managerial oversight and direction for CRADL Operation business expansion projects; review expenditure reports; develop metrics; maintain high-level contact with key clients, industry contacts & IS leadership; responsible for all personnel management; participate in the IS strategic planning process; establish, write and review veterinary care SOP’s; may serve as a voting member of the IACUC committee; provide veterinary medical services and perform all other related duties as assigned including travel to various facilities.

The following are minimum requirements related to the Operations Director, CRADL position:

  • Education:  Doctoral degree (D.V.M./V.M.D.) in Veterinary Medicine and Master’s degree in a business-related discipline (M.S.) or M.B.A..
  • Experience10 or more years related progressive leadership experience in a research or pharmaceutical environment. 
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Certification/Licensure:  Current license to practice veterinary medicine in at least one state.
  • Other:  ACLAM Diplomate Status preferred.  Understanding of governmental regulations and guidelines applicable to the care and use of laboratory animals.  Knowledge of GLP regulations and other FDA regulations applicable to non-clinical testing programs familiarity with AAALAC International accreditation procedures.  Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.  Excellent communication (both written and verbal), customer service and negotiation skills.  Ability to interact appropriately with all levels of employees, while at the same time support the efforts of departmental teams. Ability to perform independently with a minimum of direct supervision and demonstrate sound professional judgment and positive, professional leadership skills.
