We are seeking an experienced Histology Technician II in our Insourcing Solutions Division located in South San Francisco, CA.

In this role, the Histology Technician II will be responsible for performing routine and advanced histology procedures including processing, embedding, microtomy, cryosectioning, staining, coverslipping and slide scanning, slide QC, special stains and thick/thin sectioning.  They will conduct all slide and tissue cassette printing, and slide labeling.

The following are minimum requirements related to the Histology Technician II position.

  • GED or equivalent or High School Diploma.  An Associate’s Degree or equivalent in a Biological Science program is preferred.
  • An ASCP Certification at the HT or HTL level is also preferred.
  • 3 years of Pathology laboratory experience. 
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience requirements listed above.
