Job Summary

Perform sample management activities and follow directives from the study plan, phase plan and the SOP. We are currently looking for a technician for our sample manaegement team located in Senneville, Quebec.

 

Below are the main responsibilities of the position:

  • Perform reception, verification, storage and sample inventories using the Watson LIMS® system. Also perform data review.
  • Ensure the integrity of the studies and fulfill the regulatory agencies requirements by performing the activities according to the GLP, SOP and health and safety.
  • Generate study desing in Watson LIMS® based on the study plan or phase plan.
  • Perform the follow-up and the preparation of the sample shipment to other departments and/or locations.
  • Prepare kits for clinical studies based on the laboratory manual.
  • Ensures that the work areas are clean and orderly.
  • Perform the activities in a timely fashion by adhering to preset schedules.
  • Supervise some technical functions performed by less experienced employees.
  • Identify problems or potential problems and assist the appropriate personnel in establishing and implementing the appropriate solutions.
  • Participates in the training of the technical staff as required according to the complexity of the tasks
  • Show flexibility in regards to the nature of the work to respond to the needs of his/her group and all other groups within the division.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

 

Here are the minimum Qualifications for the role:

  • High school diploma
  • Relevant experience an asset
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.


Physical Demands and working environment:

  • The technician is regularly required to work in the freezer room (walk in freezer), shipping area and office area
  • The incumbent will regularly work on a computer and perform repetitive motions such as handling frozen samples several times during the day.
