Job Summary

 

Responsible for the design, implementation and support of key Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Supply Chain management (SCM) processes in the Charles River global SAP solution. Work with all businesses to enhance and improve the use and processes of the global ERP system. Serve as a subject matter expert associated with content, processes, and procedures associated with all SAP Procure-to-Pay and Supply Chain.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  
•    Define and analyze business requirements from management for Procure-to-Pay and Supply Chain Management functional area(s).
•    Develop and recommend process changes and identify SAP solutions to meet the business needs
•    Carry out Business Scoping exercises, Conduct workshops for Discovery, Business blueprinting, Fit-Gap analysis, Use case documentation as well as Prototyping sessions.
•    Identify system configuration and RICEFW changes required. Document via a configuration rationale document and, where required, implement configuration changes
•    Manage the development of functional specifications for system changes.
•    Manage the development of GMP SRS, GMP SCS, Traceability matrix, test scripts for system, integration, regression and user acceptance test phases
•    Work closely with SAP ABAP development, HANA Live, SAP Analytics cloud (SAC) and SAP CPI teams to get the delivery of desired RICEFW items.
•    Together with the Project Management Team, support the creation of plans and QA/test activities for configuration/development activities.
•    Serve as a subject matter expert for content, processes, and procedures associated with the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Supply Chain management (SCM) modules of the corporate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system – SAP ECC and S/4 HANA
•    Lead function-specific testing efforts to ensure that the configured solution works as designed to support the business and generate accurate financial information.  Identify any process or business issues that may arise with the implementation of the software and develop plans to address those issues.
•    Lead efforts to ensure optimal data structure within assigned area to meet functional needs, and provide advice and oversight to Master Data group to ensure appropriate upkeep of data 
•    Work with internal control to develop control narratives, control sets and procedures that meet Sarbanes Oxley requirements, GMP and such.  In addition, for each related functional area, identify metrics and reports that will be used after implementation to monitor process integrity and identify potential issues (errors, mismatches, stale items).  Promote and adhere to all compliance policies around organizational structure and common master data globally.
•    Lead process design activities with power users to improve operational excellence and lower cost of operations. Collaborate with peers and general management to integrate process areas
•    Develop and maintain collaborative relationships / consultative support across global business users at all levels, influencing to achieve improved process performance, productivity gains, and value-added use of technology. Gain commitment across business units for unified solutions / processes.
•    Author, update or assist in the development of user training documentation.
•    Lead training and / or ensure effective knowledge transfer to those responsible for training use of the new solutions such that adoption and value realization is optimized.

 

Job Qualifications

 


•    Education:  Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in accounting or related discipline.  Master’s Degree in Business Administration or relevant computer science fields preferred.
•    Experience:  Seven years of Global SAP implementation experience across the Procure-to-Pay and Supply Chain tool suite. Experience with SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4 HANA is a must.
•    Ability to carry out Root-cause-Analysis and ABAP debugging is a must.
•    Understand the cross functional integration with Order-To-Cash, Manufacturing, FICO, Jaggaer (previously Sciquest) and other relevant areas. 

•    Implementation experience / knowledge of Jaggaer (previously Sciquest) is a big plus. 
•    Experience with Transportation is a plus, Taulia, ARIBA, VIM is a plus.
•    An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
•    Other:  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Ability to work well in a team environment and with all levels of management including executives.  Ability to use business acumen to develop solutions to functional issues and be results driven.

Compensation Data

 

The pay range for this position is $115,000 - $135,000 USD. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
