Associate Technical Specialist - Analytical Chemistry


Do you have a A levels in Science or BTEC in Science or Apprentice level science qualifications?

Have you got experience using LCMS / GCMS / NMR / SFC in an industry environment? Maybe in water testing? or Drug Discovery?

Are you looking for your next lab based role with a global contract research organisation that brings novel therapies to the patients who need them?


Our Purification Sciences are recruiting an analytical chemistry analyst to join us at our site in Cambridge.

The team is primarily responsible for the purification and analysis of compounds to allow effective movement through the Design, Make, Test, Analyse cycle.

You will have worked in an industrial analytical environment previously using equipment such as LCMS, GCMS, NMR and / or SFC and will have demonstrated an interest in workflow optimisation and practical troubleshooting.


What You'll Be Doing


  • Help deliver analytical and purification data to support the progression of compounds across multiple sites.

  • Develop equipment troubleshooting and problem-solving expertise to ensure instrument issues do not delay client projects. 

  • Maintaining laboratory records and equipment validation

  • Work with wider purification sciences team to optimise internal processes

  • Interact with client project teams and be a point of contact for one or more projects.

  • Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders across divisions.

Skills and Qualifications


  • Experience in an industrial setting.

  • Proven track record of performing LCMS / GCMS / NMR / SFC and other analytical techniques in an industry environment

  • Collaborative working, highly motivated and innovative.

  • It would be advantageous if you have worked with instrumentation from manufacturers such as Agilent and Waters.
