Job Summary

We are seeking a CRADL Facility Supervisor for our Insourcing Solutions site located in South San Francisco. The following are responsibilities related to the Facility Supervisor: 

  • Supervise the daily  husbandry and study support activities in the Vivarium.
  • Generate work orders and ensure documentation of all corrective maintenance and preventative maintenance procedures. Follow up to ensure timely resolution to issues and provide update to management when resolved.
  • Provide timely, concise and effective communication regarding all facility utilities, infrastructure, process equipment, and supply chain and housing system issues to Management.
  • Coordinate the movement of animals throughout the facility and assign housing locations for receipt of new animals.
  • Oversee adherence to all site operational procedures and all required documentation related to the department.
  • Supervise record maintenance. Generate and submit internal and external reports in the required formats and timeframes; report to management on operations related issues.
  • Ability to train and guide staff on technical procedures as well as animal care and husbandry

The following are minimum qualifications related to the Facility Supervisor position: Bachelor of Science in Animal Science or related field preferred , Minimum five (5) years in a laboratory animal facility of which 3 years is supervisory or management experience. AALAS certification at the Laboratory Animal Technician level (LAT) or higher /ability to successfully achieve LATG certification within 24 months.
