Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Electrician for our Safety Assessment site located in Reno, Nevada

This position is responsible for planning and performing a variety of electrical trade functions to repair, install, and replace equipment, which may require licensure certifications. 

•    Install and repair electrical materials, equipment, and machinery working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
•    Inspect, isolate problems, and repair defects in lighting, electrical wiring and equipment using motorized machinery, hand tools, and electrical testing equipment. May require calculation of electrical loads and feeds.
•    Perform all duties following prescribed safety procedures and uses personal protective equipment as required.
•    Inspect completed electrical work for quality, safety, and proper operation.
•    Periodically perform preventative maintenance programs as scheduled.
•    Perform all functions with minimum supervision.
•    Perform troubleshooting, daily and preventive maintenance of all electrical systems.
•    Troubleshoot and maintain all facility auxiliary electrical systems.
•    Review electrical plans for facility construction and renovation projects.
•    Assist in the revision and upkeep of facility electrical drawings, schedules, specifications and other documentation.
•    Provide technical expertise as needed.
•    Assist Facility Manager in the design and maintenance planning of all facility electrical systems.
•    Perform all other related duties as assigned.


The following are minimum requirements related to the Sr. Electrician position:
•    Education:  High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.).
•    Experience: 10 years related experience in electrical fabrication, construction and maintenance. 
•    An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
•    Certification/Licensure:  Class C-2 Electrical Contractor’s License or equivalent.
