Job Summary

 

We are seeking a Facilities Technician for our Safety Assessment site in Reno, NV

 

Responsible for accomplishment of daily and preventive maintenance and assists in construction and refurbishment of physical plant.


The following are responsibilities related to the Facilities Technician position:

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  
•    Perform all functions under direct supervision of Facilities Technician II or above.
•    Assist in repair, daily and preventive maintenance, and construction of physical plant and expansion projects.
•    Perform basic carpentry, masonry, electrical, heating/air-conditioning, plumbing, painting, mechanical and floor/wall coating installation.
•    Perform calendar inspections/repairs on all facilities systems.
•    Perform supply, delivery, distribution and acquisition needs as directed.
•    Assist in all aspects of site construction and maintenance.
•    Facility / building security as assigned.
•    Perform all other related duties as assigned.

 

Job Qualifications

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Education:  Must be at least 18 years of age and High School or G.E.D. eligible.
•    Experience: 2 years experience in general building maintenance with mechanical and construction background.
•     An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
•    Certification/Licensure:  None.
•    Other:  Basic knowledge of power tools preferred
