Job Summary

We are seeking a Product Manager, CNS Services for our Discovery business ideally located on the East Coast Region for this remote position.

 

This position is ultimately responsible for providing expert input on the CRL CNS portfolio to drive sales. The position is also responsible for service / product planning and execution at CNS CRL locations throughout the life cycle of CNS services within the Discovery organization. Responsibilities also includes collecting and prioritizing product / services and customer requirements, being the voice of a customer on CNS related topics and working closely with colleagues from Sales, Marketing, Operations and Scientists to ensure revenue targets and customer satisfaction goals are met.

 

The following are responsibilities related to the Product Manager, CNS Services:

 

  • Be the recognized client-facing expert in the business on the product/service, the market, relevant technology and the competition. 
  • Proactively engage in scientific client discussions and perform client visits on the eastern US including the Boston/Cambridge biohub in Massachusetts along with NY, CT, MD, VA, NC
  • Represent the voice of the customer in CS, marketing and BD team meetings
  • Deliver client proposals independently and by liaising with global CS (client services) team
  • Externally promote the product/service to clients through direct interactions, and providing promotional materials (webinars, newsletters and other mechanisms).
  • Collate feedback from sales and customers and proactively bring forward ideas for advancing the CNS business
  • Build relationships with the scientists at each CNS site to ensure alignment with customer needs 
  • Consistently conduct competitor intelligence and research
  • Consult on global pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals.Work with internal and external stakeholders to assess and establish partnerships
  • Support Discovery’s overall and strategic goals related to CNS.
  • Translate business strategy into product / service strategy.
  • Asses and reflect market signals about future needs and novel services 

 

The following are minimum qualifications related to the Product Manager, CNS Services position:

 

Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent in a scientific and/or business related discipline. Master’s degree/PhD preferred.
Experience:  4 to 6 years related experience in CNS focused scientific discipline, business development, marketing, and/or project management. Experience in contract research, pharmaceutical industry, or marketing organization is of added value.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
Certification/Licensure: None.
Other:  Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize work and meet deadlines. Expertise in the product or market including specific technical or industry knowledge preferred. Superior project management and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain a keen attention to detail, multitask and work well under pressure. Team player who collaborates well with others. Sincere empathy for the customer and a commitment to delving deep into the challenges they present or experience. Proficiency in the use of standard software including Microsoft® Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
