Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineering for our Microbial Solutions site in Neuss, Germany.

The candidate for the Mechanical Engineering position will be responsible for performing all technical activities for all Portable Testing System (PTS) and Multi-Cartridge System (MCS) machines used internally and externally. This position will also coordinate and assist the PTS/MCS Engineer with routine calibrations, repairs, upgrades and installation.

 

This position will also have the following responsibilities:

  • Perform testing, troubleshooting and repairs of electronics to component level.
  • Mechanically assemble and disassemble new and existing equipment.
  • Perform and operate test equipment and solder devices as necessary
  • Create, develop and continuously improve SOP's related to the PTS and MCS machines.
  • Be able to analyze situations and use own judgment when solving mechanical problems independently.
  • Coordinates scheduling and assists department personnel in the absence of the PTS Engineer.
  • Responsible for mastery of all SOPs in area of responsibility.
  • Responsible for documentation in accordance with company policies, cGMP and FDA.
  • Assist Technical Services by loading software, calibrating new equipment and ensuring new equipment is properly packaged.
  • Perform and assess data entry into software program to track machine repairs.
  • Interpret past repairs on PTS and MCS machines to resolve and diagnose new machine problems.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree (AA/AS.) or Bachelor's degree (BA/B.S.) in electronics.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in an electronics environment.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above
  • Must be able to understand and read schematics.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite. Experience in data entry preferred.
  • Attention to detail in all aspects of the job is essential.
