Job Summary

·        Develops/updates facility specific standard operating procedures and internal policies for material movement and delivery flow activities and documentation requirements.

·        Manage, log, assign lot numbers (as applicable) and appropriately document all Receipt (incoming) and Shipment (outgoing) of materials, documents, testing samples and product for the facility.

·        Establishes inventory categorization and storage locations within facility.

·        Ensures adherence to Approved Supplier List for all cGMP purchases

·        Uses material forecast models to optimize inventory levels as well as negotiate competitive pricing for client materials (with purchasing)

·        Optimize inbound freight routes and timing to achieve company/client expectations.

·        Execute procedures and practices to ensure 100% on time and accurate delivery performance (internal and external).

·        Monitor and report performance metrics including (but not limited to) misses associated with on-time deliveries, quality metrics, and cost (including overtime).

·        Support negotiations and problem resolution with internal and external customers to ensure all issues are addressed and countermeasures are implemented and tracked.

·        Hire associates (when applicable) and develop those associates via performance metrics

·        Coordinate activities with other departments to achieve common goals

·        Seek to continually improve processes and procedures

·        Partners cross functionally to ensure that facility goals are in alignment with corporate business objectives as well as identifying key metrics to ensure those goals are met

Job Qualifications

 

·        Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration or similar field of study

·        Five (5) or more years' managerial experience in inventory and materials management.

·        Experience in a cGMP environment (as defined in 21CFR210 and 211).

·        Familiarity with WMS/ERP systems

·        Familiarity with dangerous goods shipping requirements (IATA)

·        Excellent organizational techniques and a high level of comfort with managing multiple projects concurrently

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills

·        Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documentation

·        Self-motivated, able to work with minimal direction

·        Adaptable and able to work within a fast-paced, changing environment

·        Ability to use root cause analysis tools and implement corrective/preventive actions.
