Job Summary

 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst-Business Partner for our Finance Team located in Mattawan, MI.

 

A Senior Financial Analyst-Business Partner is responsible for providing cross-functional and key strategic decision support to business partners across our corporate function and for partnering with safety assessment finance business unit operations and senior leaders on all financial planning and analysis activities in a dynamic and growing business. Individuals in this role are change agents who leverage their keen ability to gather insightful, actionable financial data, present recommendations to senior management, engage with leadership, and challenge the business to deliver performance gains.

 

  • Build strong relationships with business partners and advise them on key business planning and investment opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain accurate forecasting.
  • Prepare and present financials and key indicators for business reviews, management reporting, and financial planning.
  • Prepare periodic analysis of revenue to operating income, bridging performance across price, volume, and mix efficiencies.
  • Interpret and explain performance drivers within the business; build and present the business case that supports and influences key operational and strategic decisions.
  • Perform regular and ad hoc analyses with insights on specific issues, including: revenue with verification, forecast variance, contract reviews, net bookings, labor utilization, and pricing.

 

 

The following are minimum requirements related to the Senior Financial Analyst-Business Partner position.

 

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 or more years of relevant experience; contract research organization experience preferred. Certified Managerial Accounting degree (CMA) or Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Access, and other related data systems; experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (JDE, SAP, etc.) and with synthesizing large amounts of data.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret financials statements, work independently, make decisions, problem solve, and partner with/influence cross-functional teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent financial modeling skills.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels inside and outside the organization.
  • Computer skills, commensurate with Essential Functions, including the ability to learn a validated system.
  • Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to evenings, weekends, extended shifts, and/or extra shifts; sometimes on short notice.
  • Ability to work under specific time constraints.
