We are recruiting our future Field Trial Officer - M/F- under a long term contract for our agricultural experimentation unit located in Macon, under the supervision of a Manager located in the North of France.

 

Context: 

 

On behalf of our clients, we collaborate with a network of farmers and carry out trials on control plots of crops (cereals, market gardening, horticulture) in order to approve phytosanitary products in compliance with regulations.

 

Tasks and responsibilities related to the position:

 

  • Treatments with pre-dosed products and samples taken from micro plots of crop samples.
  • Administrative processing of raw data to be recorded in the test books, in compliance with protocols and test plans being written in English.
  • Storage and dispatch of samples for residue analysis
  • Working conditions:
  •  Survey work mainly outdoors from March / April to November requiring the use of technical equipment (carbon fiber ramps, atomizer), including the wearing of personal protective equipment (full suit, cartridge mask, gloves) .
  • Work on micro plots on various farms which requires frequent travel 5 to 6 months of the year (summer period). Over the day travels.
  • One-off trips to Spain and Italy.
  • Several months spent on site with the job holder, supplemented by theoretical training in Scotland
  • Work in great autonomy on the missions entrusted after training in field surveys.

 

Profile:

 

  • ​​​​​​​Bac + 2 (BTS, DUT) in Life Sciences, Biology, agricultural or plant biology
  • Ideally you have already apprehended or carried out experiments in phytosanitary experimentation (GEP, GLP)
  • Taste for field work as well as a sense of relationship with farmers.
  • Be proactive, flexible and have the practical sense of the organization to deal with any unforeseen circumstances.
  • Be autonomous and conscientious to organize the course of his workload.
  • Fluent in French and In English (reports to be completed and exchanges with part of the hierarchy located in Scotland and daily communication with farmers)
  • Driving license and company vehicle at the end of the training period

 

Others:

 

  • Remuneration from 25K over 13 months + Incentive + Participation + seniority
  • Base of 35 weekly hours. Modulation tuning.
