Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to support our Discovery sites located in Leiden (NL)  and Beerse (Belgium). The position will have a multi-site responsibility and will be located in Leiden, with regular travel to Beerse.

Job responsibilities:
As an experienced HR Advisor you will have a diverse, dynamic and responsible role in which you operate on operational and tactical level. You will provide HR guidance and hands-on support to assigned groups in areas such as talent acquisition, talent development, organizational development, performance management, retention, compensation and benefits. In this function you will lead a small team consisting of an HR assistant (Leiden) and a payroll specialist (Beerse) and you will work closely work together with the recruitment team and your HR colleagues in the UK and the Netherlands. You will report to the HR Director. On a tactical level you will advise the site Director Leiden and Beerse (Belgium) and you will work with local management to ensure HR policies and practices are consistently applied. Assess talent and development needs in order to develop and deliver solutions aligned with the business strategy. Support talent management of assigned business groups to ensure the organizations resourcing needs are met. Coach and partner with managers to resolve routine employee relations issues. Analyze and present HR information to assist in identifying HR trends and look for continuous improvement opportunities.

Minimum requirements for this position:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources related field.
•    Strong Interpersonal and negotiation skills - excellent relationship building skills and the ability to partner with various levels of management.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•    Experience with SuccessFactors and SAP.
•    Fluent in Dutch and English.
•    Strong knowledge of Dutch labor laws and related legislation; knowledge of Belgian labor law is an advantage.
•    Flexibility - responsive to change and demonstrate adaptability.
•    Collaboration - successfully collaborate on projects and programs with team members.
•    Accountability – take responsibility for consistent completion and follow-up on departmental jobs and providing excellent service delivery. Representative personality with a positive nature and a “can-do” mentality.
•    Critical Thinking - use pro-active problem-solving skills to assist in determining priorities and finding timely solutions.
