Job Summary

We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our Gene Therapy team located in Keele, UK to provide  financial oversight – hybrid working role to cover maternity leave until December 2022.

Profile and Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced finance professional with excellent financial and commercial experience and strong communication skills.  This is very much a strategic role and your ability to make others see the value in the insight you provide and to inspire others to make use of the information are key to your success.  You will need to be a self-starter and a coordinator.  You will need to be able to apply your analytical skills beyond the traditional functions of finance and use those skills to influence on a broad range of commercial issues.  These issues must then be brought to life for senior management teams.  You will need to have a great ability to listen, interpret, influence, negotiate, inspire, and challenge to succeed in the role.  You will need to be able to build credibility with senior stakeholders quickly so that you are understood as a true business partner.   You will also need to have experience of working across functions and have achieved success working with multiple stakeholders with competing aims.


Applicants should have proven experience in accounting or finance ideally some knowledge of financial analysis. You should hold a relevant finance related qualification and understanding of operational, sales and financial issues
