Job Summary
Responsible for managing a team of financial and billing analysts that supports a portfolio of commercial contracts within the order to cash process. Key responsibilities include overseeing order entry, invoice processing, analyzing project level expenses, and processing month end revenue accruals. This role will work in a cross-functional environment with Operations, Business Coordination, Business Finance and Corporate Accounting team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead team to ensure optimum performance of the group, specifically developing and implementing Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for monthly/quarterly management reporting
• Assume people leadership of the team, including assessing core competencies of all levels to address organizational needs, recruiting, training and development, workload evaluation and scheduling, and all other aspects of people and performance management
• Partner with Business Operations and Finance to understand business needs, with specific focus on proactive resource and process planning
• Read, analyze, and interpret contracts/agreements/purchase orders and related documents and apply information to invoicing and reporting practices within SAP
• Process invoices and work within SAP alongside team members to support critical deadlines
• Review and approve month end revenue accruals, including ongoing financial analysis to explain variances to forecast. Review and approve other journal entries as required for direct reports
• Support client facing discussions relative to the order to cash process
• Serve as the primary point of contact between SAP technical and business process teams to troubleshoot errors and drive system enhancements to improve efficiencies
• Ensure adherence to pertinent regulatory requirements and to departmental policies, practices and procedures; perform assigned SOX controls and support Internal Control, Internal Audit, or External Audit discussions
• Perform all other related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in Accounting or related discipline.
• Experience: Seven to ten years of related experience in cost accounting, project based accounting, and finance. Either formal or informal people leader experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
• Certification/Licensure: None, however, CPA preferred
• Other: SAP software experience preferred. Strong spreadsheet skills. Must possess ability to work independently and within the team to meet deadlines and prepare responses with a high degree of accuracy. Must be highly organized, detail orientated, proactive, resourceful and able to exercise sound judgment. Ability to influence and implement process improvement within the team and across various teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate at multiple organizational levels and across business groups.
Compensation Data
The pay range for this position is $110,000 - $135,000. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, and location.
